One of the most common Ethereum based cryptocurrency wallets used is MetaMask. It is browser and app-based and it is a non-custodial wallet, which means it’s decentralized and interacts directly with the Ethereum blockchain. In other words, there is no middle party, and MetaMask customers own their private keys.
Many people use MetaMask because it allows you to store NFT’s and also swap your tokens and cryptocurrencies right within MetaMask. It also integrates smoothly with NFT marketplaces like Opensea and Rarible.
How to Install MetaMask

*MetaMask supports Chrome, Firefox, Brave, and Edge.
- Visit https://metamask.io/
- Click the “Download Now” button
3. Decide whether you’d like to download MetaMask to your browser of choice or iOS
4. In this case we will install it on Firefox. Click “Install MetaMask for Firefox”
5. Click “Add to Firefox”
6. On the pop-up, click “Add”
7. After adding the MetaMask extension, MetaMask will appear in your browser
8. Click “Get Started”
9. From here you either create a new wallet or enter in your Secret Recovery Phrase
